Chapters, Indigo, Coles Books monopoly

Chapters, Indigo, Coles Books
Chapters has a monopoly on the bookstore bvusiness now that they own Indigo and Coles. This is ridiculous as it creates the impression of fair pricing when in fact they have complete control over the retail book market. The little remaining competition has no significant impact.

The most ridiculous part of this monopoly is their web based sales portal. Having a "web store" is common these days, but it is typically the same as the "bricks'n'mortar" except it is shipped to your door. In the case of Chapters/Indigo/Coles, the prices in the store are significantly lower by as much as 30%, and the stores make no effort to price match. They simply respond "it's a different business".

There is no reasonable justification for such a significant price difference. We shouldNPOT be punished for doing business in the store, and more importantly, this monopoly should be held to some degree of responsibility.....if the we b store has the same brand name as the bricks'n'mortar store, they should be treating customers equally, especial when it comes to prices.
