Spring Hill Suites in Milford, CT

Anonymous said...
We stay at the Spring Hill Suites in Milford, CT the night before Thanksgiving this past year. This was our first experience with a SpringHill Suites. Wow, we were so disappointed! We had used some Marriott Reward points for this room. We had reserved a King Suite, which would have been fine for 2 people, but we had our three children with us too. The room was SO SMALL. When you pulled out the sofa bed, there was barely room to walk around it to get into the bedroom area and the bathroom. There was a lot of wasted space in the room with the set-up of the bathroom. There were a lot of strange wall angles and corners. We had trouble finding a space for the small portable crib we had brought for our baby and had to move furniture around. I have never been in a hotel room this tiny. It was however, decorated nicely– with a very contemporary and modern look. And the bathroom was actually big! It was also very hard to maintain a comfortable temperature in the room.
Another huge disappointment was the pool. The pool itself was nice, but there was a very loud child’s birthday celebration going on during our stay and made the pool too loud and busy to be enjoyable. A free continental breakfast came with our stay. The dining area was extremely crowded and not a good set-up. The food was okay, but we felt like we just had to rush through it so our table would open up for someone else. The only nice thing was they had Tom & Jerry on the TV which entertained our boys! We had planned to stay at another SpringHill Suites the next night, but changed our minds after staying at the one in Milford and ended up finding a different hotel.
