Dell Computers.

Dell SUCKS! I called to order a new computer and the customer service rep asked me what I would be primarily using the computer for. I said " Mostly to connect to the internet" When the computer arrived and I had everything set-up, I attempted to connect and kept getting an error message that said NO MODEM DETECTED The stupid ***** sent the computer without a modem installed and when I called to complain their response was that you have to request one to be installed when you order the computer. They never said that from the beginning. When you call for customer service you wait on hold for 45 minutes until some ******** picks up the phone. Never will I buy from them again!

In today's world, a modem is not standard, as ethernet is usually the expected connection to the internet. so it is understandable that it was not included. However, they should have prompted you somewhere.

I order from Dell many times a week, both online and over the phone.

Their phone sales people have a definite list of questions they ask for each system or peripheral. And, the online configuration tool clearly lets you pick to have a dial-up modem installed.

Giving negative feedback when you did not pay attention is not fair. Save it for the other 99% of the time when Dell actually does suck.
