I heard an ad on the radio for a company called Insurance Alternatives. They advertised that they provide prescription drug assistance programs for $40 a month and $50 application fee. In January I applied for $90, with the owner Mike O'Hara. In Feb, when I still had not received any benefits, I was informed that they had not yet processed my application. I then cancelled my order and asked for a refund. Instead, they began charging the $40 monthly fee automatically, the amount of $180. They finally refunded $130. In March, they did not respond to my emails and phone calls for the other $50. Finally, on April 29, I received an email from Mike O'Hara that he was no longer in business and to contact a company called People's Healthcare directly. I am hoping they can help me. It is clear that Mike O'Hara of San Diego took my money and provided no service whatsoever. Whatever "business" he is going into next will probably be the same type of scam.
