Ipod Touch
The ipod touch has everything you would expect from your standard ipod, but with a nice interface, touch screen(obviously), and a bunch of useful and entertaining apps available to be downloaded.
I’ve had my ipod touch for about six months, and am in general very pleased with my purchase. The only thing that has been a big let down is that I only purchased the 8 gig version, and you quickly run out of space on that.
First I must say that if you are considering purchasing the ipod touch you must ask yourself several questions. 1. Do you want it just because it is touch screen and because of the apps? 2. Do you just want something to listen to music on? I’ve seen far too many people purchasing ipod touches only because they are interested in the touch screen/application features of it, and who would seldom listen to music, which is absolutely absurd. There are also a handful of people who just want an ipod, but purchase the ipod touch and never use the application features of it. In order to be buying the ipod touch you would have to have moderate interest in both, but mainly the music features, because after all it is an ipod, and not a game console.
I have to admit that when I first bought it to I found myself obsessed with all of the applications available and you would be too. But that obsession dies down after a month or so, and then you are left with a nice looking ipod, which you will use mainly to listen to music, and for the occasional application which is nice.
If you do purchase it I would also not recommend actually purchasing apps from the app store, as I never have and am satisfied, and have found all my friends who have to be in the end disappointed and found that it was a waste of money. The app store can be a huge rip off, so I would definitely stick with just the free apps, do not waste your money on the paid ones.
One feature that can be kind of annoying about the ipod touch is just its size. Its fine when you are holding it etc., but when you listen to music and try cramming it into your pocket, it can kind of be a drag to haul around with you because you can constantly feel it pressuring against your leg, or wherever you place it, and when doing work in the yard or something I always found myself conscious I would damage it when kneeling down, so I would recommend buying some sort of carrying case to store it in when not using it or listening to music.
So if you’ve been considering purchasing it for a while, I’d say go for it, and probably get the 16 gig, its worth the extra cost to have the space, and do not buy it if you are looking for something just to get applications on, you must really and truly want an ipod to listen to music on.

Legacy Van Lines of San Diego, California
On May 14, 2009, I hired Legacy Van Lines based on their favorable BBB rating. My purpose for hiring movers was so to properly crate my 42" plasma tv. I signed a contract with the crating included, paid a $150, and scheduled pickup for June 14-15, 2009. By Sunday June 14, I left 2 messages. The 15th, they called saying their truck had broken down and they needed 1 more day. On the 16th when a truck did not arrive, I called again. David told me in a very hostile manner that the truck would not be there until the 17th. He said it was not his company's fault that the truck broke down and it was against company policy to issue discounts. I contacted an insurance agency and bought a full coverage policy for $175. On the 17th, nobody arrived by so I called again. The truck driver told me he would be 6 hours late. I reconfirmed that he had the materials to properly crate the tv. Finally, around 6:30pm the truck, driver, his 8 month pregnant wife, and helper arrived without the key to unlock their trailer. The driver had to borrow a hack saw to cut the lock off. I documented everything with my new camera. Then they began loading my boxes into the truck. I went into my house and found the driver had cut a cardboard box open, bent it over the top of the tv and was wrapping tape around the box. I immediately stopped him. I referred him to the contract about the crating of the tv. He called his boss, whom he addressed as Bubba. I spoke to Bubba who yelled at me that this is how they do it and I shouldn't be telling him how to move things. I hung up with Bubba and asked that my things be taken off the trailer. The driver refused, and stood behind the trailer calling me names while I unloaded my belongings. I went in search of my camera while the movers closed up their truck and drove away. They stole my brand new $260 camera. Throughout the ordeal I lost the $150 deposit, $175 for the insurance policy, and a brand new $260 camera, plus a week's worth of time and was treated horribly the whole time.

Phoned to talk to the Owner today (July 3, 2009) and offer him an estimate for our company's services. He told me to "**** off" - I replied you are very kind and he went on to say "You're a c***!"
That says it all - if you want to do business with an aggressive - foul mouth who will probably bully you if you have problems - do so. But I certainly wouldn't expect good service.

This business is in Delavan Wisconsin. Don't do business with this person . The guy will want his money up front and then not do the job or finish it . So please save your money and don't get ripped off. The person that owns this business has ripped off 3 familys so far. There might be more that I don't even know of. Make sure that someone does the work first and then asks to be paid. I don't want to see anymore people get screwed over.

Rather then rehash the story again, I will just paste the letter I wrote to the company. "Your rep refused to help my husband and I resolve any of our issues. My spouse is disabled and unable to do a lot of walking yet we were stuck in a hotel that would not/could not accommodate the handicapped. I will definitely be pursuing legal action. The internet jack in our room was broken yet there was no one capable of or willing to fix it. We requested a smoking room but were refused. We were told that they were booked full. However, as we sat out front and smoked we saw group after group getting rooms and several couples told use they came on a whim with no reservations and yet they got a smoking room! I booked through Priceline.com and feel like we were treated like second class people because of that. When I checked the hotel rates, I found out I paid more than most people did that weekend! My husband is in so much pain from having to walk so much at your hotel. We asked for a room closer to a smoking area but were again refused. I wholeheartedly believe we were discriminated against by your staff!! Our weekend anniversary get-a-way was ruined because of the neglect we received from the staff at Candlewood Suites, Lake Mary. The worst part is that nobody was even the slightest bit concerned about us. We got, "Oh well" and "There's nothing I can do" oh and my favorite, "You'll have to make the best of it." I am going to make it my mission to let everyone know that Candlewood Suites does not care about their guests, our comfort and most importantly refused to accommodate a disabled person!!"

The Slipper Room in downtown New York City.
Anonymous said...
If you enjoy sequins, huge feather fans, funny scenarios, quirky and attractive women in the form of an intimate burlesque show then you should check out The Slipper Room in downtown New York City.
This burlesque show is off the beaten path. Located in the lower east side of Manhattan. You don’t have to buy tickets in advance for a lot of money or wait on line to get in. It is usually between 5 and 10 dollars at the door and they even have drink specials before 10pm.
It kind of reminds me of the old style saloons they show in western movies. There is a bar to the right when you walk in and the stage is just a foot or two higher then the floor. The ceiling isn’t very high and the whole place probably can’t hold more then 100 people. The seating is like most bars downtown. A few tables and chairs with a few booths on the side, stools at the bar and standing room. I suggest getting there well before the show so you can get a table and chairs by the stage and indulge in the drink specials a little.
Once the show starts at 10:30pm it is a non-stop entertainment joyride. The performers range from old style burlesque feather fan dancers to new school dancers whose themes revolve around martinis in New York. Every time I have gone to the Slipper Room I have had a great time.
Since this show is off the beaten path it never gets too crowded, which I love. I have always left feeling that I got much more than my moneys worth. I also leave with great stories to tell my friends. So if you enjoy nipple tassels and happy dancing women I suggest you check out The Slipper Room at 167 Orchard Street in Manhattan, New York City.

Miyabi Kyoto Japanes Restaurant Myrtle Beach, SC
Anonymous said...
I had heard good things about Miyabi and I have also enjoyed eating many times at a fast-casual restaurant owned by the same company, so I thought that Miyabi would be a sure fire hit. My wife and I called ahead to make a reservation, as was recommended. When we arrived we were welcomed quickly and informed that we would be seated momentarily. They led us to our table, which is designed to seat eight and wraps around a large grill. They have the tables arranged in pairs so that there was seating for 16 people with two cooks in a small area. Our server arrived shortly and took our drink orders. Within just a few moments she returned with our drinks and then took our dinner order as well. While we waited for the cooks to come to the table, we had to endure the other people at our table. This is one of the weak points of this type of restaurant, in my opinion. You have no control of your dinner company except for who you bring with you. So unless you go with a large group, you will be sitting with strangers. Our tablemates did not seem to have a grasp of basic manners. They were very loud and rude to the staff. One lady smelled as though she put on an entire bottle of very strong perfume, which gave me a headache. Of course, this is not really the fault of the restaurant, but it is something that one should keep in mind when considering eating at such a place. The cooks for both tables finally arrived and began cooking. First they sauteed onions and zucchini. Then they did some fried rice, followed quickly by a shrimp appetizer. All of this is included with any entree. Then the cook began preparing the entrees. Our cook seemed to be a little slower than his counterpart at the other table and a little less polished with his showmanship. I found myself watching the other guy because he was more entertaining. The cooks provide a little distraction by performing little tricks, which I won’t describe so as not to ruin it for you. However, I will say this: don’t decide to go for the show. It won’t be worth it. I ordered shrimp and chicken teriyaki, both of which were very good. However, they were only marginally better than the food at the fast casual restaurant I mentioned earlier, which now I see is just a stripped down version of this place. By the way, the fast casual place is called Mon Cafe (formerly Kyoto Express) and is in nearby Conway, SC in the Walmart shopping center on Church ST. Let’s get back to the food. As I said, the food was very good and they give you a lot of it. My entree was $15.95 and I ate my fill at the restaurant and still had about the same amount to take home with me, which I ate later. We had arrived at the restaurant at 6pm and had tickets to an 8pm movie, so at 7 we started getting ready to check out. The problem was that our server had not been to check on our table in about 10 minutes. When she did come back we told her we were in a hurry and she was very understanding and helpful in getting us out ASAP. Other things to note are that the place seemed very clean and very nicely decorated. All staff were very polite and helpful. The prices are somewhat high for me ($10.00 to $20.00/entree) but you do get a lot of food, as I mentioned. However, I will probably not go back. When I want good Japanese food, I will just go to Mon Cafe because it is closer, quicker, cheaper, and just about as good.

A Number One Pizza New Rochelle, NY
This is a pizza store that is open until 4am every night and so if you are hungry then this is the only place to go late at night.Well I went to this store and ordered a pizza with chicken on it(large size) and some garlic knots and when it came time to pay the total was $30.00 and I was amazed, I asked the employee if there was an error but he said that was the correct price and he was very rude about it. I did not want to dissapoint my girlfriend or my cousin so I just payed for the pizza and left. When we got home we found there was hardly any chicken on the pizza and it was over cooked and burnt. My girlfriend only had one slice and so did I which means I payed $30.00 for two slices of pizza. This pizza is over priced and not very good at all, I would pass on it.

East Dynasty Buffet restaurant in New Hartford, New York

When I really want treat myself, I eat at the East Dynasty Buffet restaurant in New Hartford, New York. I discovered this Chinese restaurant about five years ago and I am equally as happy to eat there with friends and family as I am to eat there alone–it’s that good. I can always count on excellent service at East Dynasty and the food cooked to perfection.
East Dynasty offers a regular menu with a take-out option, as well as an all-you-can-eat buffet. I’ve only experienced the buffet, which offers a wide variety of food to please anyone’s palate–from roast beef, baked salmon, roasted turkey, spare ribs, chicken (prepared in many ways), fresh, steamed crab legs to more traditional Asian entrees, such as scallops (fried and steamed), mussels, shrimp, steamed vegetables, a variety of rice dishes, soups and much more. There is also a Mongolian barbecue where you select fresh vegetables, uncooked meat or seafood, sauce and have it expertly stir-fried Mongolian style, in just a couple of minutes. Fresh sushi and sushi rolls are available as well as delicious desserts. The salad bar is huge! And it’s all included in the same, very reasonable price which appeals to everyone, including those with big families.
When you visit, just make sure you come with a good appetite, you won’t be disappointed!

Axe anti-hangover stimulating mg-o2 shower gel
Anonymous said...
I took a shower with my dad’s shower gel again. he has so many of them in the shower and I just hate that because we have a shower with slide doors so when you open the door a bunch of products just starts to fall down from a small wall and they and up in the shower. And my dad has this silly habit of opening stuff before ending the old ones so we end up with a very long line of half empty products on the shower wall.
One of this products is Axe anti-hangover stimulating mg-o2 shower gel, when you first look at it, it has such an unusual colour, it is light green and has small bubbles of O2 inside. When I first saw it, it reminded me of Slurp. I don’t know how many people watch Futurama but there was this really cool episode about us people and it was ironically showing the fact that we don’t actually know what we eat and drink. There was this very popular drink called slurp and the Futurama crew wan a trip to the planet where this product is produced to find out that Slurp is nothing else but excrements of these giant slurp-snails that lived on that planet. The colour of this Axe reminds me on that.
Than about the smell, it is really nice, strong and refreshing. Maybe that works anti-hangover. I’ve read a few reviews on the internet from men with hangover who tried to take a shower with this shower gel but they say that it didn’t help. I mean, I doubt a shower gel can actually help you against hang over even if it has MgO2 in it. The smell disappears immediately after taking a shower so I guess if the smell is the only one working against hangover it can do much because it doesn’t last for a long time. I believe that this small bubbles, O2 can add some O2 to your cells and help them refresh themselves sooner but I doubt that effect is very strong. I really wonder how can it be that a shower gel has a very strong smell but on the body this smell disappears in no time.
This gel comes in a collection with another 6 shower gels:
Shock
Thai Massage
Boost
Snake Peel
Speed and reload
They all have very unusual colours but that’s maybe what makes them special because they are so unusual and different:
Dark blue brilliant
Turquoise
Pinky Red
Bright orange
half white half dark blue
Light shiny blue
looking at those colours one would never say that it is a collection for men, well except from the fact that it is Axe and Axe produces only products for men. Although I must admit that I really don’t understand what makes something to be a product for men or women specially in a shower gel. The smell is pleasant and I wouldn’t say it is masculine. maybe it has some effect on the skin that would be too strong for woman’s skin. I really wonder. Anyway, I’ve used it and I like it. It is like it smells like clean and that’s the most important skin and it didn’t dry out my skin. Actually I have to admit that it dried it much less than some products for woman I’ve used in the past.
I saw it written on the label stimulating, I really wonder what it stimulates. It comes in a bottle that pretty strange, because it is not the same on the both sides, on the left side, looking from the front it has some curves that can’t be for your fingers because they are to big, I think they are too big even for man’s fingers. On the right side the bottle looks like a vase. Pretty interesting isn’t it.
The cap is black and unfortunately it is not flat. I prefer when the cap is flat because then you can turn the bottle upside down and the product comes out easier. In my opinion, the opener is too hard too open. I think that all the bath products should have very easy openers because in the shower we can’t see much from all the steam, foam and one can slide easily so you can’t put to much energy and concentration in opening a single bottle.
I would recommend this product to everyone, women and men because it smells nice and it leaves your skin soft and nourished.
